Oil, Acrylic, Charcoal and Beeswax on Canvas

20 x 16 inches

Painted on top of a small acrylic painting originally meant for the artist's spring solo show at Upper Market Gallery in San Francisco, 'self-portrait' creates a literal and figurative tie between the two bodies of work. A breakthrough painting stylistically, 'self-portrait' became the basis for the rest of the collection. The painting depicts the artist in a pink dress, seemingly rising up and out from a geometric forms representing the chaos of a 'karmic spring.'
