Eros (Cupid), the Greek demigod of love, was said to have two arrows — one that aroused obsession and one that aroused indifference. A Classicist by schooling, the artist often draws from myth and the archetypal to depict universal experiences. Here, two lovers find themselves caught in between spaces delineated by Cupid’s arrows — navigating the newness of love, attempting to find the reality that lies between obsession and indifference.
